Singer songwriter Rupert Stroud is hitting the high notes for charity.
The musician, who hails from Ilkley, has helped to raise over £2,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK after bringing the house down at The Wardrobe in Leeds. He is planning on hosting a series of concerts across the country this year to support the charity’s work.
Rupert was inspired to support the charity when he lost his grandma, Eileen Heyes, to Alzheimer’s in 2009. After a long struggle with the condition, it left her bed-bound and unable to talk or even recognise her family. Rupert said: “I’d like to thank everyone for their generosity.”
