FORMER Yorkshire Evening Post photographer Roy Fox has died at the age of 75.

Following a long illness with brain disorder myoclonus, prostate cancer and a number of strokes, he died on July 7.

He worked at newspapers including the Pudsey News, Yorkshire Evening News, Sheffield Star and the Yorkshire Evening Post for 23 years until taking early retirement.

Former colleague Mel Hulme said: “He was a great photographer and good friend. The devoted family man was known as Mr Reliable.”

He leaves wife Audrey, of Barwick-in-Elmet, two sons Ian and Martin and four granddaughters.

His funeral is being held at All Saints Church in Barwick-in-Elmet at 11am on Monday. (July 18)
