Road accidents bring traffic chaos to Leeds

Road accidents brought early morning road traffic chaos to two Leeds suburbs today.

The A658 Harrogate Road at Yeadon was closed for two hours due to an accident, between Otley Old Road and the Whitehouse Lane junction, at 6.09am.

A Renault Cleo was in collision with a motorcycle, the rider of which was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

A divserion was put in place before the road was reopened

The A650 Wakefield Road at Morley was closed in both directions for an hour after a car being towed was hit by another vehicle at around 7.29am
