The location of Leeds's new Kitty Cafe has been revealed after plans for its signage were submitted to the council.

Kate Charles-Richards – who runs the original Kitty Cafe in Nottingham – secured the city centre site back in April but has kept the exact location a secret to date.

She had hoped to open last month but renovations to the building by the landlords have delayed work on the interiors.

Now the YEP can reveal that the cafe will be based in the old Yorkshire Bank site in Kirkgate, next door to Debenhams.

Plans submitted to the council seek permission to put up new signage for the cafe, suggesting the eagerly-awaited opening may not be too far off.
