A children’s hospice has received a welcome cash injection of more than £28,000 thanks to its Grand Car Raffle.

Sheila Bowes of Boston Spa was delighted to win the Citroen C1, but added: “I didn’t think about the prize, I was just pleased to be supporting a very local charity – Martin House.”

Martin House corporate fundraiser Brenda Peel said the hospice was thrilled with the success of the raffle, run with support from Haribo and Evans Halshaw Citroen, Leeds.
