Around 325 people will gather to celebrate the quality of Leeds’ learning disability services at the Queens Hotel tomorrow.

The Leeds Learning Disability Awards, organised by learning disability forum Tenfold, will pay tribute to city workers and volunteers with nine awards such as team of the year.

Kath Lindley, manager at Tenfold, said: “It is a chance to recognise some of the unsung heroes and heroines working across the city to support some of the most vulnerable people in society.”

Stars of TV’s Emmerdale and Olympic hopeful Tom Bosworth will be among the guests at the event, which will take place ahead of Learning Disability Week from June 12 to 20.
