THe Lord Mayor of Leeds Coun Judith Chapman put the first runs on Horsforth Hall Park Cricket Club’s new electronic scoreboard during celebrations at the club this afternoon.

The club celebrated its 125th anniversary and unveiled the new scoreboard and a revamped kitchen, which were paid for courtesy of a £10,000 ‘Wellbeing Grant’ from local councillors Brian Cleasby and Chris Townsley.

Club committee member Rob Hodson said: “We can now supply refreshments to all who visit Hall Park, whether they are coming to watch the cricket, walk their dogs, push their prams or just popping down for an afternoon with the children.”

“We hope that all the people of Horsforth will support us in our new venture and we would be delighted for them all to come and enjoy our brand new facilities in their park.”
