Police searching for a missing Leeds man have discovered a body in woods near to his home.
The body, which is believed to be that of 44-year-old Jason Middlewood, was found in a wooded area off Baildon Avenue in Kippax, at around 9pm on Wednesday, May 21.
Detective inspector John Dexter, of Leeds District CID, said: “Although formal identification is yet to be completed, Mr Middlewood’s family have been told that it is believed to be him.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and the Leeds coroner’s office has been informed.”
Mr Middlewood, 44, was reported missing on Monday after last being seen at his home in Kippax on Saturday morning.
