Police appeal to trace man after ‘assault’ in Leeds

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with a serious assault in Leeds city centre.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was on a night out with work colleagues when he became involved in an argument with a group of men near the junction of Cookridge Street and Great George Street.

He was punched by one of the men and fought back before a second man punched him knocking him to the ground.

The incident happened at around 1.30am on Friday, October 17.

He received an injury to his neck and the incident is being treated as grievous bodily harm.
