Some 3,000 people attended a charity rugby match and fun day in honour of a Leeds boy battling leukaemia.

The WillPower Rugby Fest was held at Oulton Raiders at the weekend to raise money for Candlelighters, the charity which helps support children - and their families - receiving treatment for cancer at Leeds Children’s Hospital.

The funday was inspired by Carlton boy Will Coley, nine, who was diagnosed with leukaemia last year.

Will’s uncle Sasch Brook - an Oulton Raiders stalwart - organised the event along with Andy Williamson.

Leeds Rhinos star and England winger Ryan Hall returned to his former amateur club to kick off the charity match, which involved a raft of ex-Super League players.
