Shoppers who headed down to the White Rose Centre at the weekend were sure of a big surprise – a Teddy Bear’s Picnic event as part of Baby Week Leeds.

Visitors were invited to take part in interactive storytelling, facepainting and magic tricks throughout the day, while mascot Bearemy and Fairy Sparkle turned out to greet little ones.

Centre manager Steven Foster said: “What better way to celebrate Baby Week Leeds than with a classic Teddy Bears’ Picnic?”

Baby Week Leeds, which lasted until yesterday, was organised to help infants get the best start in life.
