Pedestrian seriously hurt after road collision in West Yorkshire village

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 44-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries after a collision with a car.

The incident happened at 8.53pm on Thursday, in Church Road near to High Green Road, Altofts, when a black Audi A3 was travelling along Church Road, away from Wakefield,

As a result of the collision a 44-year-old man was left with serious injuries.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact police on 101 and to quote log 1707 of Thursday April 21.
