Pedestrian seriously hurt after being hit by motorcycle

Two people are seriously injured after a motorcycle collided with a pedestrian in Leeds today.

A man and a woman, believed to be the rider and pedestrian, have both been taken to hospital after the accident on Crossgates Road at 1.23pm today.

The air ambulance took one of the casualties to hospital and Crossgates Road has now been closed to traffic.

Drivers have been warned to expect delays in the area and buses have been diverted.
