Pedestrian injured after hit and run in Harehills

The 50-year-old was injured after a collision involving a silver Vauxhall Corsa which did not stop at the scene.

Police believe they have now traced the driver following the crash at the junction of Roundhay Road and Harehills Lane just after 2pm today.

The victim was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.

There are long delays in the area and several bus services have been diverted.

Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 881 of September 7.
