Ousted Yorkshire MP and former shadow chancellor Ed Balls is set to whip up a storm on television.
The former Morley and Outwood MP will test the taste buds of baking legends Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry in The Great British Sport Relief Bake Off.
The 48-year-old Norwich City chairman is no stranger to the kitchen and has baked birthday cakes for his three children. Among his designs were an edible iPad, a pirate ship and a cheeseburger cake.
The popular television show, which starts on Wednesday night, will helped to raise money for the BBC Sport Relief Appeal.
The episode starring the politician will air on February 3.
