You report that Leeds City Council Libraries stopped a drag queen from reading children’s stories (June 30).

Anthony Silson, Bramley

Leeds City Council has a policy of accepting diversity. Libraries were clearly out of order in not following this policy.

They should not have caved in to pressure from just one councillor and a small group which appears to be opposed to LGBT+ people.

It is right that diversity is included in our National Curriculum, and wrong that libraries stopped a drag queen from appearing online.
