Daredevils and adrenaline junkies have a treat in store next month when the summer’s biggest outdoor pursuits event will be held in Leeds.

The Yorkshire Outdoor Pursuits Show will take place at Millennium Square from August 17 to 19.

It will bring three days of high-octane outdoor action right to the heart of the city with activities, expert tips and entertainment for everyone, from climbers to mountain bikers.

There will even be a 50-metre mobile zip line provided by Extreme Adventure, the only one of its kind in Europe.

Other attractions will include a climbing wall, a low ropes course and slack lining – the latest American craze to hit the UK.

There will also be entertainment from Ben Savage with the Savage Skills mountain bike team – the UK’s leading freestyle mountain bike stunt team – performing their Ultimate Air Show.

There’s also the chance to learn bushcraft and survival skills and, though Millennium Square does not boast any caves, there will be the opportunity to experience caving with a single decker bus parked on site which replicates a caving system inside

Organised by JP Yorkshire Events & Exhibitions, the show’s key partners are Rat Race Adventure Sports, Welcome to Yorkshire and Yorkshire-based activity provider ROKT.

Commercial Manager Janet Shaw said: “Our aim is to make the event as spectacular as we can with interactivity at the heart of it.”

All of the activites will be included in the £5 adult ticket price with the exception of the mobile zip line, which costs £1 per ride. Children under 16 get in free.
