Video: Wildlife worker has captured an adorable video – of a tiny dormouse having a nap

The heart-warming clip showed the little dormouse curled up and fast asleep in the palm of someone’s hand.

He had his tail curled around him, his eyes tightly closed, and can even be heard snoring with high pitched squeaks. Dave Williams, chairman of Surrey Dormouse group, captured the video of the little animal that he found in Guildford, Surrey and posted it to the group’s Facebook page. The hazel dormouse is a rare and endangered species and their numbers have dropped by 75% over the last 25 years - such a decline that they are now protected by law.
