Storm Imogen crashed in from the Atlantic on Sunday night, causing the Met Office to issue a number of severe weather warnings across the south of England.

Yellow warnings of wind were upgraded to amber ahead of the gales, with the warnings remaining in place from the early hours of Monday morning until 6pm. Thousands of homes in the south west were left without power through Sunday night and well into the morning as the storm rolled in with hurricane-forced winds.
