CCTV of a man having his car stolen from a petrol station forecourt by an opportunistic thief on Christmas Day.

The 51-year-old man was on the forecourt at Texaco petrol station, when he was approached by a man asking for a lift at approximately 6.40am. When he refused, the man punched him several times and in the midst of the scuffle, successfully managed to pinch his car keys and made a dash for the vehicle- a Black VW Golf. The car owner tried to get in the passenger side and was briefly dragged along before the suspect sped off. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
