Top teams are being sought for recognition through the Yorkshire Evening Post Best of Health Awards
We’re looking for the most deserving health workers, including teams of staff from any field in the health sector.
Last year, the winning team also scooped the Overall Judge’s Award for making an outstanding contribution.
The head and neck team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust impressed the judges after their nomination described how they provided amazing care for people with cancer.
There’s still time to name the best teams from across the city, in a category which is being sponsored by the main sponsor of the event, Bradford-based Sovereign Health Care.
With the closing date for entries on October 19, readers are being urged not to miss the opportunity to name their health heroes.
Categories also include the best doctor, nurse, midwife and pharmacist, as well as emergency response worker, mental health worker, carer, dentist and unsung hero.
Coun Lisa Mulherin, chair of Leeds Health and Wellbeing Board, gave her backing to the awards.
“There are so many unsung heroes working to deliver health care in Leeds and these awards are a great chance for Yorkshire Evening Post readers to nominate someone who they think has really made a difference,” she said.
