A church-turned-nightclub has been re-incarnated as a restaurant.

The Quilted Llama, next Halo on Woodhouse Lane, has re-opened as Get Baked: The Joint, which serves burgers and drinks and can cater for 300 people.

Get Baked also runs a takeaway in Meanwood, which has proved a hit with students and has 4,000 orders a week.

A spokesperson said: “After 15 years of dreaming and 18 months of planning, The Joint is finally here. We want to send a massive thanks to everyone that’s supported us since back when we were selling cake from our mums’ house.”

Over 2,000 people applied for tickets for the opening event at the weekend, and plans are underway to open sites in Manchester and Newcastle.
