Have your say

ART isn’t all about fancy paintings and pictures, you know.

In fact, a new exhibition coming to Leeds this year will let you have your cake and eat it – literally.

The news broke this week about the Leeds Indie Food Festival, which runs from May 7 to 24 and involves 100 businesses across the city.

But there’s one particular event that caught City Buzz’s eye.

The first ever edible exhibition will come to town on May 14 and will offer visitors the chance to chow down on the various artwork, which is made entirely of cake.

Created by the London-based Tattooed Bakers, you’re simply encouraged to grab a fork and tuck in.

Now that sounds like a work of art we could really sink our teeth into.

The event will be held at The Gallery at Munro House on Duke Street, opposite Leeds bus station, from 7pm to 9pm on May 14.

Tickets cost £5. For more information about the festival or for a complete schedule of events and to buy tickets, visit the Leeds Indie Food Festival website at www.leedsindiefood.co.uk.
