This week there’s plenty of things to keep you busy in Leeds.
We’ve picked out the best events happening in the city in the next seven days to make sure you don’t miss out.
X Factor fun at The Light
Red Nose Day is fast approaching (on March 13), and The Light is fundraising by giving budding singers the chance to step inside a karaoke booth and warble away, creating a DVD showcasing their talents.
The X Factor-themed event includes Simon and Cheryl lookalikes who will be on hand to give their verdict from 2pm to 8pm tomorrow.
Omid Djalili at Leeds Town Hall
He’s had roles in big Hollywood films from Gladiator to The Mummy and now comedian Omid Djalili is bringing his new stand-up tour to Leeds.
City Buzz caught the show in York a few weeks ago and it had us in stitches.
The not so smoothly-titled Iranalamadingdong tour will come to Leeds Town Hall at 7.30pm on March 12. Tickets cost £23.
This Girl Can at Trinity Leeds
You’ve probably seen the TV adverts but now Leeds City Council is joining the ‘This Girl Can’ campaign with a free pop-up event from 12pm to 5pm on Sunday – International Women’s Day – with free guided runs, a treasure hunt and details about local running groups.
Plus there’s an afterparty at Trinity Kitchen!
Go for it, girls.
