ANOTHER week, another addition to the city’s thriving dining scene.
Work on the new Fire Lake restaurant has been going on for months and City Buzz got a sneak peek at the brand new restaurant before it opens to the public on Monday, June 1.
The stylish decor is sophisticated and modern and there are interesting little quirks like drum-inspired tables and huge black and white murals on the walls. The restaurant will specialise in steaks and cocktails and takes up most of the ground floor at the Radisson Blu hotel at The Light shopping centre.
Taking up a prime location in the Grade II-listed building just off The Headrow, and with some decent money having been spent on it, it’s sure to draw in diners from across the city.
It will also have a steady stream of guests from the hotel to fall back on too.
With high-quality hotel restaurants like Chino Latino at the Park Plaza Hotel and Midtown Grill at The Marriott already setting the bar pretty high in Leeds, Fire Lake has some tough acts to follow.
But hopefully the newbie will help set the city’s dining scene alight.
