North Yorkshire Bank Holiday death crash man named

Police have named a man who was killed in a collision in North Yorkshire on Monday.

Daniel Green, 20, was driving a green Peugeot on the A66 at Gilling West, near Richmond, when his vehicle was in collision with a lorry.

The location is known locally as the Melsonby crossroads, The accident happened at about 5.15 pm. Mr Green was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact TC Tony Leonard, of Richmond Road Policing Group, on 0845 60 60 24 7.
