Students at the Leeds College of Music will be honing their performance skills with mini concerts for folk at Roundhay Tea and Chat Club.

Members of the north Leeds over 70s social group were entertained by a musical recital this week in the first of several ensemble performances by students.

Group founder Carole Williams said everyone was very excited by the link-up. She said: “It’s been really good to learn how the students form themselves into ensembles and it’s heart-warming to find out how keen they were to support what we’re doing.”

The group meets on Tuesdays at Terry Yorath House. To join, phone Carole on 07808 030702.
