Entries after flooding in from people in Yorkshire wanting to nominate their health care heroes for this year’s YEP Best of Health Awards.
The annual prize-giving aims to recognise workers in a range of fields, from dentists and GPs to midwives and carers, who have gone beyond the call of duty.
Nominations have so far praised the exploits of top consultants, health care assistants, GPs and paramedics as well as experts in fields such as cancer, cardiac care and MS.
And there’s still time to nominate your unsung health care hero in any of our 10 categories before Sunday’s closing date.
Nicola Furbisher, YEP managing editor, said: “This is your chance to single out hardworking health staff that have made a real difference to the lives of others. Don’t miss out on giving Yorkshire’s health heroes the praise they deserve.”
After the closing date our panel of expert judges will draw up a shortlist for each category and pick the winners. All shortlisted nominees will be invited to a glitzy lunch for the awards on December 8 when the winners will be announced. Nominees could also win the prestigious Overall Judge’s Award.
