A NEW exhibition of film installation work by artist Shezad Dawood has been launched at Leeds Art Gallery.
The new show, Shezad Dawood: Towards the Possible Film, 2014, brings together new film, textile painting and neon work, alongside selected works from his collection.
It was shot at Legzira beach in Sidi Ifni, Morocco. A spokesman for Leeds City Art Gallery said: “Dawood found a deep source of inspiration in the region’s history and the many wars fought in the 1950/60s between Spain, Morocco and the independent Saharan tribes.” Shezad Dawood studied at Leeds Metropolitan University from 2004 to 2008,
