A NEW bus route could be just the ticket when it comes to attracting people to Leeds Dock.

The number 70 bus route, which will be called City Bus South Bank, launched at the weekend and takes people from Leeds City Station to Leeds Dock. Tickets cost 50p and buses run every 12 minutes as part of the scheme between Allied London and Leeds City Council.

The bus runs alongside the free water taxi service from Granary Wharf, which runs every day and has had 21,000 passengers since its launch in 2014.

Allied London took over Clarence Dock in 2012 and renamed it Leeds Dock.

Regular events are now held there throughout the year.
