A NEW adventure game has launched in Leeds that aims to get people to see the city in a new light.

‘If You Go Away’ is by Leeds-based art collective Invisible Flock and invites participants to download the game via an app.

They will then get instructions as to where to go around Leeds city centre to take part in the immersive location-based experience.

A pop-up recording booth arrived on Albion Street yesterday as part of the game.

Artist Ben Eaton said: “This is our most ambitious work to date.

“We’re inviting participants to get lost in their own environment, to re-write the meaning of places and the connections with our own lives.”

Artist Victoria Pratt added: “It’s an experience told through sound, text and animation, all tagged by GPS to real world locations. Real world data feeds and informs the work; the sun sets in the game as it sets in the real world.”

The app is available on android now and will be available in the App Store in the coming weeks.
