A van driver committed a lewd act behind the wheel after pulling up next to a young mum and her toddler at a Leeds bus stop.

The victim, a 26-year-old woman, was waiting with her two-year-old son, who was in a buggy, for a bus near Moor Allerton shopping centre when a man in a blue transit-type van pulled up alongside her.

Police said he struck up a conversation before exposing himself and committing a lewd act.

He was described as white, aged in his early forties and of small build.

The incident happened at about 6.30pm on Wednesday, August 27.

Police have issued an e-fit image of the man and are appealing for the public’s help.
