Children’s television favourite Justin Fletcher is to delight youngsters at a fun-packed festival coming to Leeds for the first time.

The star – also known as Mr Tumble – is set to headline Geronimo on its first day at Harewood House in May.

A host of celebrities will appear at the two-day event, which the Yorkshire Evening Post is supporting through a media partnership.

Justin Fletcher, from the CBeebies shows Something Special, Justin’s House and Gigglebiz, will perform his signature act at Harewood on May 1.

Festival owner Simon Goldman said: “We’re delighted to announce Justin Fletcher at Geronimo, he is such a huge name in the world of children’s television and a fantastic addition to the main stage.

“The 2016 line-up is already jam-packed with big names, alongside stacks of new activities for children and parents, including a brand new theatre and literary zone, traditional county fair and live music to name a few. It really is a children’s festival like no other.”

Geronimo has been expanded this year and will be in Leeds on May 1 and 2 after the inaugural event took place last year at Tatton Park.

Little ones will be able to see other CBeebies stars in person, including Mr Bloom who will entertain with stories, gardening games, and nursery songs on the Geronostage Zone.

Alex Winters from Cbeebies will be hosting the main stage each day, along with meet and greets for visitors, while Cook and Line from Swashbuckle will host a rip-roaring pirate adventure featuring songs and slapstick comedy. Other attractions for tots include baby yoga and ballet, while older children will be able to try den-building and a thrilling zip line.

* Early bird tickets are available until February 1 for £18.50, afterwards tickets will cost £25. Visit www.geronimofest.com, see www.facebook.com/GeronimoFestival or follow @geronimofest_uk on Twitter.
