HOLIDAYMAKERS will be able to fly to two new routes from Leeds Bradford Airport after a airline announced an expansion of its service there.
Monarch Airlines undertook a “strategic review” of it business over the summer, which had led to fears it could leave the airport. But it has announced it has expanded its service from LBA for next summer, adding flights to Alicante and Naples to the existing eight destinations.
Flights to Dalaman and Faro have also been increased.
The Monarch Group’s chief executive, Andrew Swaffield, said the company believed the improvements to flights from its northern base would appeal to existing travellers and new customers alike.
