POLICE are appealing for information to trace a missing Wakefield man.

Nicholas Alan Boon was reported missing last week and West Yorkshire Police are calling on anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.

Wakefield District CID would like to speak to anyone who has seen or has information about the 34-year-old, who was reported missing on Sunday.

Detective Inspector Paul Harrison, of Wakefield CID, said: “Nicholas does have health problems and as a result we do have concerns for his welfare.

“We would ask Nicholas or anyone who has seen him to contact Wakefield CID.”

Mr Boon was last seen by relatives at around 11am on Saturday, July 12. He may still be around the Wakefield area.

Mr Boon is described as white, 6ft 1 inches tall and of medium build.

He has short brown hair and was last seen wearing maroon jeans, a brown or black top and a baseball cap.

It is believed that Mr Boon may have been carrying either a white carrier bag or a turquoise suitcase.

He also has a distinctive black tribal tattoo to the left side of his neck.
