BRAMLEY Elderly Action Group celebrated its 21st birthday in style at a party this week.

Meanwood Ukulele Club provided the musical entertainment as more than 200 group members celebrated at The Villager Social Club in Bramley on Tuesday.

Group general manager Lee Ingham said the event was full of poignant memories for members.

Long service awards were presented to 21 members who have served the group for 15 years or more.

Sheila Mahon, 72, who set up Bramley Elderly Action Group in 1994, said: “It was a brilliant party. It is great to see the group is still going from strength to strength.”
