Man threatened with Taser in stand-off with police over damage at Leeds home

A man was arrested after being threatened with a Taser in a stand-off with police following reports he was destroying his Leeds home.

Officers were called to Halton Moor Avenue, Halton Moor, at 1.30pm on Tuesday to investigate concerns that a 39-year-old man was causing damage using an iron bar.

A police negotiator was called after the man refused to leave the property.

Officers forced their way in and the man was arrested after being threatened with the Taser.

He remained in custody today.
