Man’s body pulled from River Wharfe at Leeds

The body of a man was pulled from the River Wharfe after police were called out to locate the owner an abandoned car on its banks last night.

The alarm was raised after the vehicle, thought to belong to a fisherman, was left overnight near Pool Road, Otley.

West Yorkshire Police said enquiries are ongoing.
