Police are appealing for information after a motorbike rider was injured in a collision in Gomersal.

At about 9.10pm yesterday (Tuesday), a white Kawasaki bike was travelling along Spen Lane towards Birstall when its 26-year-old rider came off by the Post Office.

The male from Cleckheaton was taken to hospital with multiple injuries, which were not believed to be life threatening.

Officers have spoken to the driver of a black Vauxhall Astra which was seen in the area at the time, but would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the movements of either vehicle prior to it.

Information can be passed to the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support team on 101, quoting log *1711 of 21 June.
