A man’s body was found in a Leeds street.

But police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounded the discovery.

Officers were called to Sayner Lane in Hunslet, at 2.30pm on Wednesday (November 23) after a 56-year-old local man was discovered collapsed in the road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem was to be carried out later to establish the cause of his death, but it is not believed there are any suspicious circumstances, said a police spokesman.

The man’s identity was not immediately released.
