Leeds: Women arrested in ‘brothel’ raid

POLICE arrested three women after raiding a suspected brothel near Leeds city centre.

They were quizzed on suspicion of being concerned in the running of a brothel after officers swooped at an address on Hunslet Road at 1pm on Wednesday. (February 16)

Cash, suspected class A drugs and sex toys, kinky outfits and condoms were seized.

Police were acting on a tip off from a member of the public.

And police arrested a 20-year-old man at an apartment at Magellan House in Leeds city centre on suspicion of possession of class A drugs. He was bailed pending further enquiries.

Acting Chief Inspector Sue Jenkinson, of the City and Holbeck Division, said: “Our best weapon in tackling issues which affect our communities is information from residents and people working in our city. Warrants like this show that we are always ready to act.
