Anna CROoks has reached the final of a national slimming competition - after shedding nearly five stone.

Anna, 21, of Horsforth, lost 4st 13lbs to reach this year’s Slimming World’s Young Slimmer of the Year event.

The competition recognises young people who make lifestyle changes to become fitter, healthier and happier.

She said: “My confidence was low before I joined and I just spent all my time worrying about my weight but now I’ve got so much more confidence.”

Anna was greeted at the awards evening by Olympic silver medallist Iwan Thomas.

Lucy Walton, 16, from Leeds, also reached the final after shedding losing 3st 3lbs.
