Have your say

Calling all Leeds United fans – your new club museum needs YOU.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported last month on the progress of work on the museum, which is due to open at Elland Road early next year.

Now United have sent out an appeal for YEP readers to help make sure the visitor attraction is filled with the very finest Whites memorabilia.

The club wants people to scour their shelves, cupboards and attics for objects that could be loaned to the museum.

Donation by supporters will, however, form just part of the haul of material that will be on display.

Curator Helen Castle is currently cataloguing a hoard of thousands of items that have until now been gathering dust in a storeroom underneath Elland Road’s South Stand.

Covering 400 square metres, the museum will be situated on the first floor of the East Stand development at Elland Road.

People with United memorabilia which they think deserves a place in the spotlight are asked to contact Shirley Whitehead on the YEP newsdesk on 0113 238 8917 or Helen Castle on 0113 367 6320.
