TWO teenagers were arrested following a police chase in Leeds.

The men, both aged 19, were tracked by a police helicopter in the early hours of this morning for failing to stop for police officers following reports that they were driving a stolen car.

It is thought that the grey Volkswagen Golf had been stolen from an address on Wayland Drive, in Adel, only hours earlier.

The two suspects were chased by police officers and tracked by the force’s helicopter before they were eventually stopped in Stoneythorpe, in Horsforth, at around 4.30am today.

The pair were arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop for the police and driving over the prescribed limit.

They were taken into custody.
