Yorkshire parents and carers of children with disabilities enjoyed some summer fun when they were invited to see a popular children’s story brought to life by a visiting theatre group.
Puppeteers, musicians and actors from the Blunderbus troupe brought their family-friendly production of The Owl Who was Afraid Of The Dark to law firm Irwin Mitchell’s Wellington Place offices in Leeds.
The play is based on the classic children’s book by author Jill Thomlinson and tells the tale of Plop, a baby barn owl who conquers his fear of the dark.
The Irwin Mitchell Leeds office sponsored the event, run in conjunction with the local SNAPS and Little Hiccups charities.
Rachelle Mahapatra, a partner at Irwin Mitchell, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “The company were absolutely fantastic and the interactive element of their show really brought the story to life. We loved transforming our boardrooms into a theatre for the day.”
