Leeds-based Northern Ballet held a workshop for students with hearing loss.

The workshop united school children aged 12 to 16 with dance artists and a musician from the world famous ballet company.

The Northern Ballet colleagues worked with the students at the City Hall in Sheffield to get them dancing together and exploring drumming and rhythms.

The event is part of a Sheffield City Council project to bring students with hearing loss together, providing them with the opportunity to meet other deaf people in a similar position to themselves, who wear hearing aids, or a cochlear implant.
