Plans to mark the 40th birthday of a Leeds interfaith society are now underway with support from ward councillors.
Councillors Jane Dowson and Sharon Hamilton, pictured with members of the group, have provided £300 in MICE money to the Leeds Concord Interfaith Fellowship.
Concord is the longest running interfaith organisation in the city and one of the oldest in the country. A wide variety of projects and events are planned to celebrate this important milestone. One of these will be led by Leeds Women of Faith, who are encouraging women across the city to come together to create a commemorative textile banner, to celebrate multi-faith and multi-cultural diversity and the skills of the women of Leeds.
