Leeds school eyes bigger car park

PLANS have been drawn up for a scheme providing extra car parking at a Leeds school.

Blenheim Primary School in Woodhouse currently has a 29-space facility but a teaching capacity of more than 50 staff.

The school wants to create an additional 20 bays by using what it calls “wasted space” towards its site’s boundary lines. A statement submitted to Leeds City Council as part of an application for planning permission says the changes would reduce congestion on Lofthouse Place Road.

Council officials yesterday said the application was “pending consideration”.
