Leeds school dining halls named in memory of late pupils

Two new dining halls have been dedicated to former pupils at a Leeds school.

The Wharton Hall and The Thompson Hall were named in memory of late students George Wharton and Aaron Thompson.

Artist Jenny Makin of the Gorse Academies Trust painted portraits of the youngsters which will permanently be displayed in the halls.

Principal Leanne Griffiths said: “It was a wonderful, poignant event. We are very grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.”
