Last year, local rivals Leeds Roller Dolls and Hot Wheel Roller Derby merged to create one women’s flat track roller derby team for the area. The team will travel to Cardiff to take on Tiger Bay Brawlers on Sunday in the British Championships Tier 1 UKRDA Premier League, which includes some of the best teams in the UK.

A-team co-captain Nina Bentley said: “We are really excited to play our first ever game as Leeds Roller Derby.

“It’s very, very early days for us but things are going well and we’re feeling good going into Sunday.”
